How often does the badge update?
The badge is regenerated by our servers and served from the CDN with a 5-minute cache, from the same official data as the dashboard (INGV VONA, Toulouse VAAC, SAC notices). The iframe version reloads itself every 10 minutes; the image version updates on every page load.
Will it slow my site down?
No. It is a ~2 KB SVG image served from a CDN cache — smaller than any photo on your page. With the image version, no JavaScript runs on your site at all.
Is it really free? What do you ask in return?
Yes, for any website. The only condition is keeping the etnawatch.com link in the embed code intact: it credits the data source.
Is the badge an official source?
